Deathsquirrel 745 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 In terms of what? The dev's have already mentioned that it will run on all platforms. Same way Emby Server already does. I saw Luke say support for MORE platforms not all platforms. Regardless of platform support, I would not even think about doing things like ISO support, 3D support, Atmos support in the built-in player until the solution is rock solid on Windows and possibly Mac, unless the dev team grows a lot. Ease of use, ease of installation, quality playback for common formats, and an excellent UI for living room use would be my priorities. Stuff like OpenElec or a RPi build I wouldn't even consider at this stage. Those user communities are not the kind, in my experience, that want a solution with limited options that works well out of the box for 90% of users. The last thing I want is Emby on the banned from the house list with Kodi
Griffo 3 Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 For me I hope that MBT handles Tv well. Kodi's TV handling is still clunky imho and feels like a bolt-on rather than being thought of as a key component of the platform.
Luke 42077 Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Emby Theater for Linux and Raspberry Pi are currently in testing. You can learn more about them here: Linux: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/42868-emby-theater-for-linux/ Raspberry Pi: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/forum/169-raspberry-pi/ Enjoy.
