AtomicCEO 1 Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 (edited) I'm running Emby Server Version 3.0.5724.6 on Win 7.Server WMC 1.0.0.58, build: 1199 with a Hauppauge WinTV-7164 with US ATSC Broadcast (not sure if that matters). I only recently started using the Live/Recorded TV features of Emby. When I play back some recorded network TV shows, it defaults to a strange audio channel on playback. It seems to be the Audio Description track with a narration of the visual activity for blind people. I noticed it during MasterChef and during Brooklyn 99. I normally use the Android TV Emby app, but I confirmed that it also defaults to the Audio Description track in the Emby web interface. I double-checked and in Windows Media Center it defaults to the correct audio track and doesn't have this behavior. To fix it, I can go to the speaker icon in the Android app during playback, or the music note icon in the web interface, and switch the audio channel. It shows that it is set to "Spa - ac3 " (even though it's not really Spanish), and I switch to "eng - ac3", and the problem goes away. Is there a place I've accidentally set this to default to the Audio Description track in Emby? Or is this something other people may have seen? Edited October 21, 2015 by AtomicCEO

Here you go: I'm not sure how to read this, but it's interesting that both audio channels are "Default no". Edited October 22, 2015 by AtomicCEO
Solution Luke 42083 Posted October 22, 2015 Solution Posted October 22, 2015 well since it's marked as spanish, if you set your preferred audio language in your user preferences to english, that might solve it. 1

Ok, I found the setting under Users -> My User -> "Edit this User's Profile, image, and personal preferences" -> Playback Settings -> Audio Language Preference. I changed it from blank to English. That solved the issue. Thanks!
