fraenhawk 61 Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Upgrading to 3.0.5768 (now .3) I noticed that all my main library custom images are not showing on WMC or the web client. I noticed on the server that if I go into the media library screen on manage server (or through metadata manager) my images still show (screenshot one), but instead Emby generated new images for the libraries in the clients (screenshot two). Is there a new place those images now need to be moved and if so, why have the option to set images on the library if nothing uses them anymore?
fraenhawk 61 Posted October 19, 2015 Author Posted October 19, 2015 You can delete and re-add them. I know how to fix it through the GUI, my point was why is there an opportunity to change the images in the metadata manager still but those changes are ignored by the clients now? Maybe the edit images button needs to be turned off for media folders in the metadata manager to prevent confusion for inexperienced users.
fraenhawk 61 Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 Okay, so I fixed my media folder images but found 2 problems. The set of Live TV, Guide, and Recorded TV for my HD Homerun all point to Live TV. They all look correct on the main screen, but if you hove over them to get the detail info, the text on top of all of them says "Live TV" and if you pick edit images, they all go to the same edit screen for Live TV. Also, the image showing on that edit Image screen is being ignored on the home screen. Here's a screenshot of Recorded TV being hovered over (and you can see the icon faded in the background is the "double-square with the triangle" icon) saying Live TV and a screenshot showing my assigned image not being used anywhere.
fraenhawk 61 Posted October 23, 2015 Author Posted October 23, 2015 And just to point out how clunky this new interface is. I have the Kids Movies, 3D Movies, and Movies folders all consolidated using the new logic for my Adults signon and changed all those images. But for my Kids signon, they only have access to the Kids Movies media folder. So the changes I made above don't affect them. I signed on as them and wanted to change their icons back to what their used to and can't because" Error - HttpAsyncTaskHandler: Error occured while Processing Request: User does not have admin access." So catch 22. Now that management of icons has been moved from the server manager screen per folder to the web client gui it has gone from server to user based, but the users can't change their own icons. I guess I'll temporarily have to make them admin, log back in as them, fix everything, then remove admin. The old system used to just read the icon from the Kids Movies media folder. P.S. been loving your icons forever @@Xzener 1
Xzener 729 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) Thanks Fraenhawk! Just bought a new Surface Pro 3 and installed Photoshop... Who knows, maybe my old wheels are turning again. Edited October 23, 2015 by Xzener 1
