mit3gt 6 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Hello. I use ServerWMC for live TV. Everything seems to work fine. It plays/pauses/resumes the live stream with no issues. However, when I try to seek (rewind) a live stream I get an "unable to seek" message followed by a "failed to load video" error message which stops the live stream. I was just wondering if seeking of a live TV stream was supported on the Fire TV (Gen2). My apologies if this this should have been posted in the Live TV section.
ebr 16169 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 No, seeking a Live TV stream does not currently work - but we do need to make it not stop the stream when you try it.
ebr 16169 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I actually cannot reproduce the issue of the stream starting over. I just get the message that you cannot seek and the stream continues on. What version of the app? Does the display say it is transcoding or direct streaming (Trans/I or Direct/I)?
mit3gt 6 Posted October 12, 2015 Author Posted October 12, 2015 I can't get to the Fire TV to check right now. I installed it 2 days ago from the amazon app store. Would log files help? I can get to those. As far as not being able to seek, is this something that might be available in the future? Emby + Fire TV seems like a really good solution.
