View music/movie "by folder"

I want to view music and movies by folder. Plex has this feature.

I manage my music and movies myself using multiple subfolders. Personally, I like Emby better than Plex, so I really want to use it. With supporting the folder(subfolder) view, I have no doubt to use it. However, this is the most critical reason I cannot start with Emby.

 

There's Album, Artist, Genre tab, etc.. What I want is just add "Folder" tab and view folder. And I can easily make playlist of one folder, listen to it.

Explore the settings available when you click on your user icon in the web client.

I think it does not support subfolders.

 

And why not just add "Folder" tab? why should I not use Album, Artist view because of the folder view?

a folders tab isn't a bad idea, but the reason we don't have it to this point is the vast majority of users either want the enhanced views or they don't. there aren't quite as many people who want both. so that's why our settings are just on/off.

Then why don't you support subfolders? I think most people who wants folder view absolutely wants subfolder feature.
