Cinema Mode not working

I've enabled cinema mode for movies and have intro paths correct as well as having 2 trailers being played, but it just goes straight into playing the movie.  I've been a lifetime supporter for quite a while now and was able to use cinema mode in the past, but now I see it's part of Emby Premiere...is something going on here?

You have Advanced Intros installed so Cinema Mode will have no effect.  Uninstall that plug-in and then the Cinema Mode controls will take over again.

(this kind of confusion is one of the reasons Advanced Intros is no longer in the catalog)

OK...worked great...sort of...I uninstalled it, restarted the server and played a movie.  It played the 2 trailers and then the intro video just fine but as soon as the intro video completed, it looked like it was going to start the movie, but it just froze at the moving loading screen (the screen with the movie background as it waits to load).

Make sure there isn't an issue with playing that particular movie.

Otherwise, this is probably some sort of issue with the specific app you're using (web client?) and may need to be taken up there.  Sounds like Cinema Mode is now working from the server end.

ok, tried mulitple movies and it does the same thing.  Yes, its in the web client and I was trying it in Firefox.  Just to rule out the browser I went to Chrome and it will only play one trailer instead of 2 and no intro video, then it reverts to the movies information screen instead of freezing on the background image as in Firefox...

*Correction:  Went back and tried some things, and found that the reason it freezes while playing in Firefox is it seems to be "loading" or transcoding and taking quite some time.  For very high definition films it takes forever, so when I move it down to something way down to 480 or something it still takes a littel time, but it loads and starts playing...but I'm not interested in watching my Hi-Def movies in low resolution...so...not sure the fix (I've got a pretty decent server PC setup with an i7-5930 processor which should be able to handle one 1080 stream just fine).  When I play the movie without cinima mode in emby, it loads and plays just fine at the 1080 resolutions...

I still havent figured out why it won't go through the whole cinimea mode process in Chrome however...

In what format are your videos?

Are you trying to play subtitles as well?

Nope, not trying to play subtitles and here's a screen shot of a file that wont load unless I dial back the resolution:

That is a high-bitrate 1080 video that has forced subs.  Default behavior would be to play with these subs which could be why it is taking so long to start up.

So what would you recommend I change in regards to the subs?  I guess I'm not 100% sure how it all works, because when I play the movie without cinemamode it works just fine.  What is different about the way emby plays a movie via cinema mode vs w/o it (all within the web client)?

i think its' just an error on the part of the web client advancing from one video to the next. it shouldn't affect other apps. it will be looked at.

sounds good...for now I will disable cinema mode.
