Problems with subtitles

I have been using Emby on an Arch linux server since some time and the only serious problem I have with it is subtitles. There are two problems:

 

1. Subtitles in .sub format do not work. They show up in the menu so they can be selected, but then they are not being displayed. I MUST convert them into .srt format to get them shown.

 

2. The option to automatically download subtitles does not work. I have ~100 films and series on my server and I am yet to find one which had subtitles downloaded automatically.

downloading subtitles works just fine. Please see how to report a problem so that we can get to the bottom of that

 

Transcoding of subtitles in .sub format is not currently implemented, so that's why selecting it currently has no effect.
