DrWatson 62 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I don't really care about what time it is shown as I am not watching it at that time anyhow. The date is important as it controls missing ep ect. Why not just drop the time all together it would be much easier. Since this has never worked correctly for me I am not quite sure how missing ep works but I would imagine that most people would be happy if the ep wasn't reported missing until midnight of the day after it aired. For example aired date 26th in the states the show wouldn't be reported m.i.a until 0.01 of the 28th this would accommodate all time zones. As far as the prem date it should remain as the 26th as that is the date of when it first aired (irrelevant of time zone). I guess some people wouldn't be happy with this. Just my 2c
Luke 42077 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I am using nfo. @@Luke to repo change your timezone to +11 (Melbourne au) and add a show that shows before 10pm - eg Marvel's Agent Carter the premier date will be listed wrong by 2 days (well it is for me) No problem found. I am testing by adding the episode and then letting the internet metadata refresh run.
Luke 42077 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Did you test it with only a date in the filename? "Goede tijden slechte tijden 26x108.mkv" (27-01-2016) will be organized the right way. "Goede tijden slechte tijden .2016.01.27.mkv" will be organized as "Goede tijden slechte tijden 26x109.mkv" and that is the date for tomorrow 28-01-2016. I have disabled the xml files now and only nfo will be written. Issue remains for me. We're just talking about display date here, not auto-organize.
DrWatson 62 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Maybe there it is something to do with the date transform my date is set to d/MM/yyyy something is definitely happening. Here is the json for one of my missing ep (from yesterday so it isn't missing any more) . It was showing up as missing from midnight (21 hours before it aired). Luke 42077 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 let's just stick to what you see in the UI and what you see in metadata

Luke 42077 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 what happens if you do a full refresh of the content in emby, with new internet metadata?
DrWatson 62 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 It is strange that the added date changed to <dateadded>2016-01-26 18:13:47</dateadded> and it is 6 am
DrWatson 62 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 That was a full refresh (refresh all data and images) from meta manager
Luke 42077 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I've got the changing added value fixed in dev, going up now. we should take all testing there.
DrWatson 62 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I am happy to test in the dev server does that fix the initial issue? Currently if I install dev are there breaking changes that mean i cannot roll back to stable? I do not currently have a test box. 1
DrWatson 62 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 I've got the changing added value fixed in dev, going up now. we should take all testing there. Which I think is totally unrelated to the issue in this thread. The original issue still remains broken. <aired>2016-02-05</aired> Which if it was using the original air date should be 2016-02-06 or if it was using my local time 2016-02-07 Seriously how hard can it be. It is not a big thing but it is an irritation I see everyday it not only effects the the aired date but the missing ep show up at midnight the day they are meant to air which is beyond infuriating - much like the attitude to fixing it. This bug is not new it is years old and just keeps getting ignored. 1
Luke 42077 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Using nfo files I cannot reproduce this. I don't think there is anything that needs to be fixed. I have personally tested all kinds of situations with every time zone imagineable and each time the dates appear correctly.
Luke 42077 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 This is on the latest beta server. If you can give me a specific scenario against the new beta that still creates the issue then I will look at it
DrWatson 62 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Thanks for the offer but I don't think I bother reporting stuff any more. Cheers
yardameus 221 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Sometimes there may be issues, but if the person that is going to fix it can't find out what the problem is, it's kinda hard to fix.
Redshirt 1487 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Have you tried deleting all your metadata and doing a re-install of server? Starting from scratch with .nfo files.
Luke 42077 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 That's basically what I tried, which certainly is different from their situation but it's the best i'm able to replicate.
heula 192 Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) This what I see when I set the timeline to +1 Amsterdam Wrong data on the right timeline for me. 2016-02-08 08:27:26.4398 Info App: Sorting file \\HOME-SERVER\MB-Opnamen\Algemene TV-Opnamen\Season 0\Goede tijden slechte tijden .2016.02.08.mkv to new path \\HOME-SERVER\Series Astrid\Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden\Season 26\Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden - 26x117 - Aflevering 5302.mkv 2016-02-08 08:27:26.4608 Info TaskManager: Organize new media files Completed after 0 minute(s) and 1 seconds And this what I see when I set the timeline to -5 Eastern Time (VS and Canada) This is the right data but on the wrong timeline for me. 2016-02-08 02:43:34.0430 Info App: Sorting file \\HOME-SERVER\MB-Opnamen\Algemene TV-Opnamen\Season 0\Goede tijden slechte tijden .2016.02.08.mkv to new path \\HOME-SERVER\Series Astrid\Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden\Season 26\Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden - 26x116 - Aflevering 5301.mkv 2016-02-08 02:43:34.0820 Info TaskManager: Organize new media files Completed after 0 minute(s) and 0 seconds I don't know what more to show you to convince you there is a problem here? All I do is let emby organize the same episode but in an other timeline and I get two different results. I only use nfo and no xml anymore. I don't understand how you can't reproduce this the same way I can? I still hope you can find the problem and fix this. Thanks again. Edited February 8, 2016 by heula
Luke 42077 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I have been starting simple without the use of auto-organize. not everyone uses auto-organize. the simple scenario is a new episode, changing time zone, then refreshing. once i have that nailed down i will move to more complex situations like auto-organize.
