Theme Data & Misc

Hi Guys,

So I finally have my HTPC, Emby Server & Kodi Frontend, setup perfectly. And now I am working on making it pretty and have come up with a few questions.

Theme "Media"

I am using the TVTunes plugin in Kodi to download theme tunes automatically (all going well here!) however I cannot figure out how to get it to do theme videos.

In the meantime I am manually generating "Theme Videos" and placing them in /Series/Doctor Who/backdrops/video1.mp4 (for instance). As instructed here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Theme-songs-&-videos

These do not seem to play in Kodi nor on the Emby Web interface nor in Emby Theater. Am I doing something wrong? **EDIT** For some reason the folder disappeared. Recreated it, copied file and now it shows in Emby Theater! After doing some further reading I also figured out how to get this working in Kodi.

Is it possible to have a theme tune/video for each Season (particularly with Dr Who these change periodically and it would be nice to have them linked to a particular season rather than the show in general.)?

Images & Backdrops

Also when browsing metadata, I get the following visual display of missing data and my "folder images" also do not seem to be generating:

560a8cd5850ee_folder_images.png 560a8c7b116ad_missing_images.png

I have noticed that there do not seem to be any 'backdrop.ext' images in the show's root nor anywhere else, however browsing each show's images in the metadata manager, I do have a 'Backdrop' image for each.

I even tried taking a fanart.ext file, copying it and renaming it to backdrop.ext. This did not help. The folders themselves (i.e. "Series") are all complaining about "Missing Primary Image" and "Missing Backdrop". Do these not generate automatically based on those contained in the sub folders?

Also the podcasts look horrible! Is there no way for the rss stream to get the image for a given podcast and apply that to each episode?

I have tried using "Refresh" and "Advanced Refresh" in metadata manager to no avail.

Trailers:

I have got trailers for most of my movies as moviename (year)-trailer.ext in the root of each movie folder, but these do not seem to show up anywhere. If I click on "Trailers" after having clicked on "Movies" I jsut get an empty view stating "No trailers found. Install the Trailer channel to enhance your movie experience by adding a library of internet trailers.".

I tried installing said plugin, but this now just pulls a bunch of unrelated trailers via the web?

I could post my logs but I dont know if they are not just going to be too full (I've tried every which way to sort this myself.). If you would like a log after applying a particular action please let me know and I will clear them, do that, and then upload.

Either way these are just minutiae. I am loving using emby! My housemate is getting quite curious about it too, so I will be putting Emby Theater on her laptop soon too, and integrating her media!

For the themes, I can't find any concrete info, but don't they need to be called theme, like \backdrops\theme.mp4?

Apparently only when placed in the root as a standalone theme mp3. I can confirm this as I named it video1.ext inside backdrops and this worked.
