puithove 209 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Looks like Emby isn't getting the channels right for DTS-HD MA tracks. See here it's showing as 5.1 (6 channels) However, I happen to know this is an 8-channel track. Here are the details from mediainfo: Audio #1 ID : 2 Format : DTS Format/Info : Digital Theater Systems Format profile : MA / Core Mode : 16 Format settings, Endianness : Big Muxing mode : Header stripping Codec ID : A_DTS Duration : 2h 5mn Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : Unknown / 1 509 Kbps Channel(s) : 8 channels / 6 channels Channel positions : Front: L C R, Side: L R, Back: L R, LFE / Front: L C R, Side: L R, LFE Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Bit depth : 24 bits Compression mode : Lossless / Lossy Title : Lossless Language : English Default : Yes Forced : No Audio #2 ID : 3 Format : AC-3 Format/Info : Audio Coding 3 Mode extension : CM (complete main) Format settings, Endianness : Big Codec ID : A_AC3 Duration : 2h 5mn Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 448 Kbps Channel(s) : 6 channels Channel positions : Front: L C R, Side: L R, LFE Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 401 MiB (1%) Title : Lossless Language : English Default : No Forced : No
puithove 209 Posted September 26, 2015 Author Posted September 26, 2015 Makes me think it's just using the channel layout from the dts core.
puithove 209 Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 I've recently pulled in a couple movies with TrueHD tracks - both 8 channel tracks - and they're properly identified by Emby. I've gone through looking at some other DTS-HD MA 8 channel files and they all seem to be showing the same thing. Is no one else seeing this?
