Greek subtitles

Hello guys!

Well done for the excellent work so far!

 

I want to ask the geeks among you about subtitles; I am using the latest server and it's web app to see movies with Greek subtitles. As the last time (6+ mo) I tried to automaticaly download a subtitle through the server, it got a UTF8+BOM encoded subtitle, I manually encode my subtitles to that encoding. Google chrome plays them perfectly, while firefox and android app do not. In android, when I select the greek subs, the selection stays at (o)none and no sub is displayed.

 

Is that normal? Shall I use a different encoding? I noticed that in both server and android app, Greek (1453-) is mentioned... what is that ? It is not an encoding for sure...

Well if it's been six months then i would try again and report back. the server attempts to auto-detect the encoding but this is not going to work 100% of the time.
