API to schedule recording - Does it exist?

First, i'm slowly winning myself over with emby in all respects, but the new embyTV takes the cake.  Kudos to all developers.

 

I'd love to be able to record a show via API by authenticating and then send a showID at a minimum...and get a confirmation that it has been scheduled. i'm parsing the EPG's that emby currently downloads from schedules direct, so i'd be working off of the same info.  

 

Does this already exist?

Would it be hard to implement?

Yes but it has not been thoroughly documented. Best thing to do is look at the web client http requests and source code. The id's are not SD id's though, they are normalized internal id's.
