Janelle.Beaumont 0 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I just want to set up a media server to see a whole drive, I dont want it to rearrange or move or add anything. I just want to point it to my E: drive and then have it give me access to my current directory structure there so I can choose what file to play. How do I do that? Or is there some program better than Emby for that?
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Is the only thing on your e drive a folder containing one type of media? If not you almost certainly don't want to do this. Put movies in one folder, tv in another, etc., and add those folders to relevant libraries.
Beardyname 198 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Disable view styles and add your drive as "unset/mixed content"
ebr 16187 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Don't point emby to the root of a drive though. The system may create any number of folders or files that could cause all kinds of issues. Create sub-folders as suggested above for your different content and point Emby to those.
