Do the icons show up in the web UI?  Do your genre names in Emby exactly match the ones listed on the github?

Some do, some not

Horror has the icon, but action does not

Yes the names match with github

OK for the genres that do have icons in the web UI do those icons show in Kodi?  If not post that in the Kodi forum.  For the ones that don't have a genre icon is there a genre icon on the github and if so does it downoad when you manually search for icons in the metadata editor?  If you click the little cloud icon to browse the available images and see none when there is one I'd suggest selecting all the text in the genre name in the metadata editor (click in the name field and press CTRL-A), delete it, manually type in the correct name to match the Github entry, and save.  Then try the search for an image again.
