Users syncing to other devices

Hi,

 

Is there a way to restrict which users can sync to which devices?

 

It now seems that all users are able to sync to my phone, however I want them to only sync to either their device or their folder.

you can restrict users to certain devices within the users/access in the dashboard

On further inspection this does not achieve the desired result.

 

If I "untick" a device for a user, that user can no longer login from that device. I simply want to prevent users from Syncing items to devices that they are not logged in to.

 

For example:

 

User 1: Is logged into their phone. They should be able to sync to their phone. They should also be able to sync to a folder.

User 2: Is not logged into any device. They should not be able to sync to User 1's phone (Currently they can). They should be able to sync to a folder.

Unfortunately we don't have that level of granularity in the settings at this time so the best thing to do is just ignore the extra sync targets in the drop down list

Your original request was to not allow other users to sync to your device... So you would disable access to your phone for those users... But now it seems your are requesting something different

You are correct, you could just disable access to other devices for each user. The issue with this is; If someone tries to login to a new devices, by default the device will be disabled until approved.

I don't know if this statement is correct Luke? I believe new devices are enabled for all users by default until specifically disabled
