rendez2k 0 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Hi all, I've been using my Roku 2 (via wifi) to access Emby. 8mbps second and perfect playback. Last night, I thought I'd try my Chromecast. The playback was awful and it kept pausing and buffering! I'd put down max chromecast bitrate to 6mbps. Any ideas?
sh0rty 714 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 (edited) @@rendez2k Try the latest public beta of Android Emby app if you use it. The Chromecast runs rock stable with it. Also try to reboot your CC to get the latest Update for CC Emby implementation. Unrelated to Lukes suggestion to provide logs you can try speed4cast to check you CC connection (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.libspeed4cast.app&hl=de). rendez2k 0 Posted September 9, 2015 Author Posted September 9, 2015 Thanks! I already have the Emby beta app (although I notice another update came this morning). I will reboot the CC and try the speed test app (assume thats just unplug and plugin?). Whats a good bitrate max value for a CC and should AC3 pass-through be enabled?
