sindori1001 0 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 hello i have looked 6 times for find the option in User preferences, and it has been removed in one of the resent updates. can this be fixed
ebr 16185 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish?
sindori1001 0 Posted September 9, 2015 Author Posted September 9, 2015 when i go to home on the server there is a folder in the media view its named folders how can you remove this? the folder in the orange circle??
Solution Happy2Play 9783 Posted September 9, 2015 Solution Posted September 9, 2015 (edited) Since the option was removed, you will have to manually edit config.xml and change <DisplayFoldersView>true</DisplayFoldersView> to false. %appdata%\Emby-Server\config\users\"select the userid"\config.xml example when in user setting you see "userId=544bb61533df466cbe33242bc08a1564" in the url. MoNkLorD 0 Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Huge Thanks! this has been bugging me for the longest. now will collections still work?
omerome 4 Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Sadly, I am still seeing this issue with a "Folders" folder. However when I go to the config.xml file, there is no entry for <DisplayFoldersView>true</DisplayFoldersView> to set to false.

Make sure you use notepad or another proper text editor.
Luke 42081 Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 You don't need to mess with the config file, just go to library - display in the server dashboard 1
