New folders-libraries not added untill restart

Just noticed when I try to add a new library, it is added but the interface is not updated until after a server restart.. same problem when adding a folder to an existing library

Check Library > Advanced > 'Enable real time monitoring' to see if it's enabled. During the last beta cycle, this started resetting to 'No' on my server w/ each subsequent update.

 

Seem to recall reading somewhere that @@Luke had disabled start-up scanning to improve initial experience & assumed this was related.

 

Anyway, check that setting (server restart required for it to take... & 'Auto' didn't seem to do much). Might help?

Mine is set to "Auto". For me it is not  big deal, it is more for new user experience..

I can't add new media at all now. What the heck is going on. Auto Organizer doesn't work for all most a week and now this?

What the heck, is that you're running dev server builds. The purpose of the dev builds is for you to productively come and help test new features and changes, and report issues in a useful fashion by seeing:

The purpose of these releases is not for you to come and say "what the heck, where's my fix?". I don't think the dev builds are right for you, therefore I would suggest installing the stable release from the website.

I am not trying to be disrepectful here at all. Just trying to find out what is going on. By the way I am in fact running the stable release of the server and not the developer one.

Sorry, my mistake then. Are you sure though because having auto-organize broken for a week could not have happened on stable, as we haven't had multiple stable releases within a week. I guess it doesn't really matter, just please try to provide useful info that can be used to help you. Thanks.

Yeah I am sure, but you are right i could have been more descriptive of my problems. That post was made more out of frustration than anything. I spent a few hours the last for days trying to get everything working on my end before making a post. I guess I let my aggravation get the best of me. My apologies Luke.
