Scott750 29 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 When playing a movie through the webui in Chrome the On Screen Displays constantly popup. Seems likes its on a constant rhythm, every 3 seconds they come up then go away. This is without touching the mouse or keyboard. I use a wireless mouse/keyboard combo, so I tried turing it off and even unplugging the wireless sensor. But the OSD's keep popping up. What is making this happen? It only does this when watching movies in the webui. Watching a movie in MPC-HC doesn't have this problem.
Logos302 86 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 does this happen in any other browser? or just chrome?
Scott750 29 Posted September 6, 2015 Author Posted September 6, 2015 I tried to watch a movie in IE11 but it pops up a "Video Error" box.
Logos302 86 Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Is it possible it's having trouble transcoding and it actually a bref pause while it transcoding the next section? As I just watched an tv episode for a couple mins with no OSD. The other option you have something pulling the mouse/keyboard and it causing chrome to respond. Like maybe a remote IR blaster or something.
Scott750 29 Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 It doesn't appear to have any transcoding hiccups. The video plays nicely. I'm not using any IR blasters with my setup. I'm wondering if it has something to do with chrome.I unplugged the mouse/keyboard completely yet chrome acts like it needs to keep active for something.

Never got to the bottom of the issue, just seems to be chrome and/or an extension... Worked fine using another browser on the same machine I recall
