Windows10, BayTrail atom and hanging during mp4 playback

Hi,

 

I've been using the app on my Windows 10 atom box (BayTrail - PiPo x7) and noticed that when playing back mp4 (720p lowish bit-rate ripped from blurays with handbrake) I get video pauses every couple of minutes

 

The audio continues fine but the frame freezes and then carries on after 5 seconds or so. Up to that point there wasn't any lose of sync.

 

Using MPC-HC they play back perfectly.

 

Thoughts? They are direct playing.

First question, are you running Win10 preview builds or stable?

Hi, RTM stable. It was Windows 8.1 that was upgraded to Windows 10 about 2 weeks after release. If I use Emby Theatre and then an external player the same files play perfectly (MPC-HC). 

 

My son was watching Cars (MKV bd rip, 1080p, DTS-HD and 5.1AAC soundtrack again in handbrake) this morning upstairs and it went on for about 10minutes before it started to stutter. It was direct play with the AAC track. 

 

Do you need any logs or even a video to help?

Things I watch freeze up also. The video stops but the audio keeps going and I have to click/move the slider to get it to play again. No problems in other video players like MPC.
