Cannot select media location

I installed emby on my Ubuntu installation and while trying to set it up via the web interface, I cannot select a media location once a media folder has been created.  I get a Media Locations bar come up with a plus icon on it, but when I select the plus icon, nothing happens.

I had this issue with folder not owned by root.  After I created a folder as root and then pointed it worked fine.
