NomadCF 15 Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 My idea is to have emby convert/sync everything in my library from my primary NAS (which houses all my full sized versions) and convert and sync everything to a secondary NAS which I want to hose all my pre-converted versions. What would be the best way to go about this ? Currently I have emby loaded up with everything I have into 3 different sync queues (1 for TV shows, 1 for Anime and 1 for movies). But this doesn't seem to work overly well has the emby seems to get confused a lot about and either seems to stop converting OR think it's converting 2+ different things at a time. Which I'm confirmed it's not both my my check running process and the trans-coding logs. The end goal is to have everything already pre-trans-coded on the second NAS (with it's own copy of emby pointed to just this trans-coded files) and connect the rokus & etc to this setup. And leave my primary emby server setup to point original files for everything else that can handle better than the trans-coded. Is there a better way to handle this ?
bluemonkey07 590 Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 Yes just have one server and use folder sync to keep a transcoded copy and your clients should select the best version to play automatically... And you will not have to deal with the issue of keeping watched/resume status in sync between two servers

Want i'm having issues with is the "converting"/sync cant seem to be able to keeps things straight with the load i'm giving it(see image above). I might just setup 2 more emby servers break up the 3 jobs among them . But even then i for see issues with the amount of "jobs" in-each servers list.
