movies all in together with new plugin :-(

Hi all :-)

 

could someone explain to me how I can get my videos to show up sorted -

 

in Emby I have

 

Movies

Kids Movies

3D Movies 

 

etc

 

With the old plugin then it was shown in Kodi just like Emby

 

Now I have updated they are all in together :-(

I have the same problem. Is it a setting gone wrong I have overlooked? Fortunately, I tried it in a test setup:

 

Windows 8.1 pc running Kodi 15.1. 

Emby for kodi, i tried both 1.1.13 and 1.1.35 

Skin: Titan 3.4.1

 

Any thoughts? Should you need further details please let me know. It looks (to me) like the listing is now all of the same type (i.e. Films) instead of limited to the selected folder. Also, sets of movies combined in a box set folder (i.e. Pirates of the Caribbean (Boxset) ) also now show as individual movies in the list instead of just the boxset folder. Finally, it seems that the list shows the sort-name instead of the actual movie name.

Make shortcuts to the folders in Video->Addons->Emby - you should see all of your Emby collection in there.  Note that you want to go into the collection name as inside there are 'recently added' etc.

Excellent. Part 1 works, the shortcuts are a bit different to make as they require an additional step/level of the same name. Thanks!

 

As for the other questions: The boxsets no longer show as a set but as individual movies as well as the sorting (title, descending) seems not to work. Any suggestions on that?

Nothing we can do about that, we can only use the native Kodi sorting in this addon
