Dependency issues installing on Centos 6.6

Running CentOS release 6.6 (Final)

Anyone have any ideas on how to easily get around these dependencies.. I thought this was gonna be a quick install.. just wanted to check this out the live TV functionality discussed over on the HDHomeRun forums.  I jumped the registration hoops, followed what looked to be pretty simple instructions and it basically throws up on these dependencies.. I did a bit of research and tried to install the ImageMagick rpm on it's own and it blows up as well..   Any quick fixes before I throw in the towel and move on?

You have a package (looks like Inkscape) that needs libraries provided in ImageMagick packages available in base and epel repos of CenOS and that are not available in our ImageMagick package.

At the same time Emby requires a newer version of ImageMagick that we provide.

This is a dead end in term of package conflict. You will need to choose between the package that requires the "old" ImageMagick libraries or Emby that requires the new ImageMagick package that we provide.

It's not uncommon that two packages can't live in the same system, specially when like in our case, the package is not coming directly from the Distro repos and that requires newer versions of some libraries.

If you really need Inkscape or the package that needs the old ImageMagick libraries then you can always go the Docker way. But that path has it's own complexities.

If you don't, then just uninstall those packages, and try to install Emby again. It should be fine.

Thanks!  Will try the uninstall method.

Thanks for the assistance...  Now that I've got it installed and am able to access config, I realize I'm not running the beta release...where can I find the beta release for centos/linux?

That's easy once you installed the stable version correctly:

# service emby-server stop
# yum remove emby-server
# yum install emby-server-beta
# service emby-server start

Enjoy Emby!
