So I assume this isn't a feature at the moment?

I saw when adding a new Library that "Books" was an option. So I added one with a few epub files. The names show up in the library but that's kinda about it. No meta data, you can't read the epub file.

There is now an OpenLibrary plugin in the Emby Plugin catalog for books, and it supports ISBN lookup.

An update to the Emby Open Library plugin has gone out to support lookups using either ISBN or the Open Library Work Id. The Work Id should help make matching easier, although you can still lookup using ISBN. Here is clarification on the differences between Open Library works and editions:

Thanks for the update on the Open Library plugin, however, I constantly have issues with it, it doesn't seem to pick up most of the books I try to identify.

For example, I am trying to reference this comic: https://openlibrary.org/books/OL43117205M/Universal_War_One_tome_2 , trying to use either OL43117205M or OL10001361W as work ID, the search result always returns that it cannot find the book ("No items matching your search criteria were found").

In other word, in my experience so far, it's a step forward but the plugin seems buggy.

For OL10001361W, please let me know if the 1.0.5 open library plugin update resolves the issue for you. Thanks.

Emby Server 4.9.1.8+ will now have a book reader in the web app for the following formats:

• PDF
• EPUB
• MOBI
• FB2
• CBZ
• CBR
