Zekesdad 0 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 on ubuntu server 15.04. I was getting emby from here : https://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home%3Aemby&package=emby-server-beta and every single time there was an update, in order to install it i had to use "sudo apt-get remove emby-server-beta' then apt-get update, then reinstall. It was the only way to get the update file installed. Well, now emby wont even run. I deleteded the ppa from the repository list and ran "sudo apt-get remove emby-server-beta' 'sudo apt-get autoremove' and 'sudo apt-get purge' and everything else I can think of, but now I've added the regular emby ppa from here: http://emby.media/downloads/linux-server/ but when I type "sudo apt-get install emby-server" after updating, I get the error: chris@mediaserver:~$ sudo apt-get install emby-server[sudo] password for chris:Reading package lists... DoneBuilding dependency treeReading state information... DonePackage emby-server is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, oris only available from another sourceHowever the following packages replace it: emby-server-betaE: Package 'emby-server' has no installation candidate
thefirstofthe300 292 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 what is the output of you sources list? It would be located in /etc/apt/ and we would need the output of both the /etc/apt/sources.list and /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.
