New user issues

Hi all,

Just installed Emby on my Linux Ubuntu server. Movies indexed OK but....

 

1. Nothing will play, either in Chrome on the PC or in the android app

2. My art all came down for my movies OK. TV shows won't show any art

 

I've attached my logs with the hope somebody can help! I'm a Linux novice :-)

Your ffmpeg is really old. Try to have at least 2.5 ish

Thanks. How would I update that?

 

Edit: sorted image issue so its just the ffmpeg update issue if somebody can help (ubuntu 12.04)

Hmm. 12.04 isn't going to be easy to get a recent version ffmpeg version due to the lack of PPAs.  You will probably need to compile and install it yourself.  If you upgrade to 14.04, you can get an extremely recent version of ffmpeg here.

Now, the only odd thing is that videos seem to not be getting the end time/total length so you can't scrub through them/change playback position? Certainly the case on Android and Web (Chrome). Any ideas? Attached new logs just in case something is broken.....
