So i just had to do a complete reinstall due to a hdd crash. I am now running Windows 10. The Emby server seems to be going very slow. Chrome keeps locking up at the metadata page. Is it Windows 10 or Chrome? I've never had this happen.

On a fresh install it can take a little time to build up image caches which will explain that. Removing Cover Art and GameBrowser can both improve performance as well. I am not suggesting you do that because I understand you might want the features, but you do have to factor that into your decision of whether to use them or not.

thanks for the response Luke. I've always had coverart and gamebrowser installed and chrome never locked up before. Here's a dumb question....should the emby service be running or stopped? it is currently stopped. I know i'm probably reaching but I just don't know what to do.

The service is to run Emby Server as a service instead of you manually starting it after login in.

okay, check this out. I uninstalled Autoboxsets and...Bam...everything seems to be working fine! lol thanks guys.

I have a feeling that was coincidental and, if you were to re-install it, you would still be fine.

 

If you re-install it and start to have problems again please post another log but the auto box set creation task in your last log took a total of 20 seconds.
