JerryB01 1 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I just started evaluating Emby because of the reported Live TV function with SiliconDust's HDHomerun. I downloaded the latest server beta and installed it on my QNAP (model TS-453 Pro). However, when I attempt to run/configure the server on the QNAP, I just get a blank black screen and when I attempt to access the server on a web browser I get a page with a popup asking me to select a language but the language drop down is empty so I can't select anything or move beyond this popup. Am I doing something wrong or is there an issue with the beta running on a QNAP? Thank you.
Luke 42077 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I wasn't even aware it had started circulating for qnap yet. i haven't even published the zip that is normally used to create the qnap build so I'm not really sure what to say. In any event, what browser and version? how is it a blank screen when you say there's a popup to select a language? maybe a screenshot would help. thanks.
JerryB01 1 Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 I found the QNAP server file at: http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=320&t=109476 It's listed as: http://www.positiv-it.fr/QNAP/APP/MediaBrowser_1.150719_x86.qpkg.zip (v3.0.5675.1) [ Mono 3.10 or Mono 4.0.1] I've tried both Firefox (v40) and Microsoft IE (latest version that comes with Windows 10) and the result is the same in each. Here's a screen capture of what I get when I enter: http://<QNAP Address>:8096/web/wizardstart.html Where the black area fills the rest of the browser window.
JerryB01 1 Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 I uninstalled, redownloaded, and reinstalled and I was finally able to get into and configure the server. So my issue is resolved. Unfortunately, I now realize that this is not the new beta version of the server with Live TV support for SD's HDHomerun devices so I'll have to wait until I can access the beta before I can continue my testing. Thank you for your help.
Solution Luke 42077 Posted August 25, 2015 Solution Posted August 25, 2015 The latest beta is now available in the Qnap forum. It's based on code from a couple days ago, so there have been some issues resolved since then. But as a pre-release designed for testing, it should be able to give you an idea where our Live TV is headed. 1
JerryB01 1 Posted August 25, 2015 Author Posted August 25, 2015 Thank you. I have it installed and I'll see how well it works for me.
