Nathanio 35 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 As per the title really. Has it support for locations other the US yet? Waiting with baited breath so I can try it proper!
Luke 42077 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Try it out and let us know if there are no Guide options available for your country.
Spaceboy 2573 Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 well it only supports the hdhomerun which (to me) doesn't seem that useful outside of the US. HDhomerun only have a dual dvb t2 tuner which is pretty poor compared to some of the options on the market. i have 2 quad dvb s2 and 1 quad dvbt2 pcie cards, hoping these get supported at some point
Nathanio 35 Posted August 24, 2015 Author Posted August 24, 2015 Hi Luke, I have tried it and it imports the channels. I want to give it ago but need my schedules direct trial initialised for it to work proper. There's not point doing that if we're not supported. I can see GB is now in the drop down (which makes me think it is supported)

I like the concept and been working well with NextPVR backend. Nothing stopping you from doing that with your existing tuners. The thing that is stopping me at the moment moving proper is the lack of playback functionality (inc series recording etc) for recorded TV in the Emby Theatre app

Ian-Highlander 147 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) I too was looking to start trying to use this, but when I read it only supports the HDHomerun that put a complete kybosh on it for me. The Uk options from HDHomeRun are pitiful at best. A dual Terrestrial card being the only available option according to their website. So what about satellite? I can fit quad tuner DVB-S/S2 PCI-E cards and pull in a hell of a lot of channels unavailable on Terrestrial. I'd actually planned to fit both DVB S/S2 and DVB T/T2 cards and was hoping to use Emby to run the front end for it all, but if I'm reading this right, that's not possible? That's a serious restriction if it is the case. If I'm misunderstanding this I'd be very grateful for someone to put me right Edited August 28, 2015 by Antitheft2
Luke 42077 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 that's not correct. When you go to add your tuner, click Other, and it will tell you how other tuners can be added.

iainsheppard 5 Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 does not seem to work in Australia yet, when I add with "enable" selected it will complain about guide options, but cannot see anything for poor Australia.

Network tuner with 4 dvb-s2 tuners. I have one and it works absolutely brilliantly with DVBLink. It works on the SAT2IP standard though which I do not know if MB supports. I believe the HD homerun uses BDA drivers on Windows. Skickat från min LG-D855 via Tapatalk
