Live TV not working with Chromecast

I am using the paid version of the Emby app for android. When I connect my Android mobile device (have tried phone and tablet) the TV shows it is connected. When I go to a channel the metadata even shows on the tv, but when I hit play nothing happens. I know it is connected since the channel splash screen changes, but how can I get the channel to start?
