TomTiddler 39 Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I run latest release of Emby server on Windows 10. Recently I noticed that there is always an active device showing as Chrome, deriving from an internal loopback address (127.0.0.1). Since I don't have Chrome installed on any machines in my network, I was wondering if anyone knew where this could be coming from. I do have 4 Windows10 machines, 1 Windows Home Server 2011, several iDevices (Pads and Phones), 1 Roku 3, and 3 TV Live streamers, and one solitary Windows 7 Home machine. Any help/advice appreciated.
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Edge identifies itself as Chrome. That's likely what you're seeing. 1
TomTiddler 39 Posted August 21, 2015 Author Posted August 21, 2015 That makes sense. Many thanx. (BTW Wot's up with that?)
ronvp 92 Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Edge does not reports itself as chrome.. many other utilities have already learned how to identify as windows 10 Edge..I think the server needs to be updated..
