dml33 25 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Hi. I'm new with Emby. I've just installed Emby server 3.0.5675.1 in Windows 7 64 bits. I have added as movie media folder one that I was previously using with Kodi 15.1. In it, every movie is in a different folder together with a .nfo file. In the Metadata Manager, I have refreshed some of the movies, since there were no data about vote count, metascore, etc. Then, I have installed Emby Add-on 1.1.34 in Kodi 15.1. I have cleaned the Kodi library and, after it is restarted, everything looks ok, except that no images regarding the movie casting are shown (director, actors, etc.). This is the emby log: http://pastebin.com/7DDg0Sq9 Thanks!
Angelblue05 4132 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 If you go in the Emby webclient, and check your movies individually, is there a cast and crew? With the add-on, we duplicate what's in the webclient. So if it's missing in Kodi, then there's a really good chance it's also missing in Emby. Let us know! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
dml33 25 Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 Hi. There is a cast list for each movie, but without images. I have just read that there could be some problems fetching those images, since the requests are done too fast to the providers, so they are denied. So, I have deleted all empty folders in Metadata/People using RED, and I will run the task Refresh People again, so, hopefully, I can get them little by little... In Kodi, I didn't have this problem. I mean, all movies had their cast images. In the .nfos, the thumb image pointed to internet, instead of a local file: <actor> <name>Michael Pitt</name> <role>Ian</role> <order>0</order> <thumb>http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTczMDM3MTE1M15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwOTI4Njg2Ng@@._V1_SX1024_SY1024_.jpg</thumb> </actor> Why can it be? Thanks!
Angelblue05 4132 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I don't know if Emby reads the <thumb> when importing from nfos... I've quickly checked the Emby code and it looks like it processes the name and role only but I could be wrong. @@Luke
