Wheemer 50 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I was previously running 5700 or 5701, not sure exactly. I see there's an update available so I do the manualy process. I download the beta and it successfully installs. When I relaunch the service to my surprise the beta installer has actually downgraded me back to 5675.1 This is the same problem that has happned perviously that I reported. Is this stuff ever going to be fixed? I should be able to update properly and it should not be this hard and fail so easily.
ebr 16186 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Nothing is broken here. This happened because 5675.1 is the current Beta release and that's what you asked for. More correctly, there is no current Beta release so the one the Beta installer will use is the Release one. If you want to run a dev build, you'll need to let the updater do the update because there is no Dev level installer. If you are running as a service, then you'll need to bring it up as a normal app and let it do the update and then you can shut down and re-run as a service if you wish.
Wheemer 50 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 My selection was previously set to beta, not sure how it got set to dev. Shouldn't the installer do a version check and at least ask me if I am sure I want to downgrade?
Wheemer 50 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 OK I have managed to update using the systray method. Thank You!
