Live TV and PVR with Emby

Morning All

Recently rebuilt my HTPC and installed Emby server on my media server (Server 2008 R2) with Emby in WMC on HTPC.

Previously I had a Lounge PC with 2 x Freesat cards plus a Kitchen PC with 1 x HD freesat card, both using WMC to record and schedule TV.

I'm considering changing this to put all cards into one dedicated PC for recording TV. Is this possible? and what can I use to do this?

I would like to be able to watch live TV from any of the PC's and also schedule things to record from a decent EPG.

Any advice, suggestions really appreciated :)

PS - I'm in the UK if that makes any difference.

I just started using Next PVR, it's been a pretty solid experience so far. I signed up for schedules direct for guide data and it's been working better than Mediacenter in keeping the guide updated. Works with the web interface and my Rokus, so far so good.

Thanks for the information.

Do you get a full EPG/Guide on the client with the ability to set series recording etc etc

What sort of cost is the Schedules Direct EPG?

Have you tried this with Emby client side?

Whether you get full EPG depends on the Emby client, you get the full guide in the web interface. But Roku restricts you to I think 60 favorites.

I can set single and series recordings through the emby client or the Next PVR interface and they show up in both guides.

Schedules Direct costs $25 a year,or $6 for 2 months, but you can try it for free for 7 days,

Looks like it's US/Canada only though. There's got to be a way of injecting uk listings into Next PVR

I have been using EPG Collector for some years, but I'm in New Zealand. I looked up some posts and others are using it successfully. It might be worth a try and it's free. Can take a while to get going. It creates tvxml file for Npvr, then into emby and updates daily on a schedule. Good luck hope this helps.
