Unable to log into emby connect. reset passwords multiple times.

Greetings

 

I just recent created an account on emby connect, but I am unable to log in.  

 

I tried login name and email address

I tried resetting my password several times and still no luck.

I am able to login into the forums just fine with my login account.

 

I downloaded emby server MB3 and installed installed it on Win10 VM and there too, I am unable to log in and configure it.

 

Any suggestions?

We'll need more information about exactly what you are doing.

 

Are you trying to log into the server directly?  If so, you need to use the server user credentials, not Connect.

I am trying to login into you web site directly via a browser.

 

http://app.emby.media/connectlogin.html.  It fails every time.  I setup a new server using the same login name and password and it too fails to connect.

Are you able to access your server using your remote address listed in the dashboard?

In addition to the above question, can you also be more descriptive about "unable to log in". For example, do you get an error message, and if so, what does it say?

I found the issue.  I was unable to log in to Emby and get the pop up message "Login Failure - Invalid username or password - Please try again" when using Chrome.  I since tried Firefox and I am able to login in.

 

I determined this when I setup another Emby test server.  The confirmation link was send to my email address failed when I click on the link in chrome. I then read the email message via Firefox and click on the link and it was successful.  I then tried logging in again on Emby via firefox, and it was successful.

 

Time to remove/re-install Chrome.
