sinayion 0 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Details: OS - openSUSE Tumbleweed Web server - nginx Emby - 3.0.5666.9 Hi all, I recently bought the lifetime membership key, as everything worked fine with Emby on my home server. Now I'm having some issues, that reading this forum, could stem from the server having bad internet access. So, I put the server on DMZ on the router, disabled the firewall, and still seeing the same issues: - supporter key not accepted. I get the following message: "Supporter key is missing or invalid. In order for any premium content to be registered, you must also be an Emby Supporter. Please donate and support the continued development of the core product. Thank you." - Plugin page appears blank Please let me know who I should contact regarding the supporter key, and if you need any more info to help. Thanks
sinayion 0 Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 I have opened up port 8096 specifically (before DMZing this) and I am able to connect to the server remotely. So, I can't figure out what else to debug & how to figure out if the emby server has difficulty with internet access.
Luke 42077 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Can you enable debug logging under advanced, then try again to save the key, and then post the server log here? the path to the log folder is displayed on the front page of the server dashboard. thanks.
sinayion 0 Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) The dashboard shows that my logs should be in the "Logs: /config/logs" folder, but that does not exist in my emby data locaton. in the config folder I have the following::/srv/emby/config # ls -latotal 60drwxrwxrwx 1 99 users 300 Jul 11 21:41 .drwxrwxr-x 1 99 users 148 Jun 13 20:33 ..-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 227 Jul 11 21:40 branding.xml-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 621 Jul 11 21:38 chapters.xmldrwxrwxrwx 1 99 users 20 May 20 00:56 dlna-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 514 Jul 11 21:41 dlna.xml-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 461 Jul 11 21:39 encoding.xml-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 226 Jul 11 21:38 fanart.xml-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 34 Aug 11 12:50 mb.lic-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 243 Jul 11 21:38 metadata.xml-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 684 Jul 11 21:37 subtitles.xml-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 340 Jul 11 21:40 sync.xml-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 12034 Aug 12 19:35 system.xml-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 217 Jul 11 21:38 themoviedb.xml-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 205 Jul 11 21:38 tvdb.xmldrwxrwxrwx 1 99 users 128 May 20 01:33 users-rw-rw-rw- 1 99 users 443 Jul 11 21:37 xbmcmetadata.xml Do I need to create this folder? EDIT: Tried making the folder, nothing happened after a reboot, and trying to put the key in again. EDIT 2: I realised too late, I was looking in the wrong folder, before reinstalling Emby. I'll try this out during work breaks, and see if the same problem occurs. Edited August 13, 2015 by sinayion
sinayion 0 Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 Closing this; seems to have been an issue with my emby docker download. Tried cleaning it out, and the supporter key works now
