hgilgen 0 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Hello, I connect to Emby Server (Version 3.0.5675.1) using IE 11 and typing in the web address - http://xxx.xx.x.xx:8096/web/login.html. I log in and am presented my videos. I launch the video and it plays fine, but when I right click on the video a context menu comes up with options to “Save video as…” and “Copy video URL”. Is there a way to disable this context menu or protect the videos from users downloading and saving them? Please let me know. Thank you
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 If you don't want users downloading media uncheck the right Allow Media Downloading in their user account.
Luke 42081 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 It's possible in IE, but not guaranteed for all browsers. Even if the context menu is taken away, you can't actually prevent downloading as long as they have the ability to play content. So it would only serve to make it a little more difficult.
hgilgen 0 Posted August 12, 2015 Author Posted August 12, 2015 I already have the checkbox for "Allow media downloading" unchecked and was able to download the video without a problem by right clicking and clicking the option “Save video as…”. What is that option supposed to do exactly? How is it possible to take away the context menu in IE? Thank you for the responses....

Perhaps we can suppress it (on some browsers) if you have our option disabled.
ebr 16185 Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 How? I'm saying it is something we would have to see if we can code for.
