Query about image naming for multi-part movies.

I have found some thing odd with the image file names for multi part films.

 

E.g.

 

• Ben-Hur (1959).part1.mkv
• Ben-Hur (1959).part2.mkv

 

I use meta<browser/> to download the images and they are named in following format:

 

• Ben-Hur (1959)-fanart.jpg
• Ben-Hur (1959)-poster.jpg
• etc i.e. no part1 part 2 in the image name

 

But Emby Server does not find these images. I have to rename them fanart.jpg, poster.jpg for these to appear in Emby.

 

Similarly the nfo file is called Ben-Hur (1959).part1.nfo. I guess Emby could be updated to use the actual movie name and ignore the .part1 part?

I am suffering the disppearing actors issue with my multi part films, I guess there maybe some linkage here worth investigating.

I don't recall having the issue when I had multipart movie files but I've subsequently merged them all together into single files using MKVmerge so definitely no issue now

Yes you're right. It's an open issue.
