Steverido 6 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Does the server configuration backup save the played state of TV if you were to reinstall Emby server?
ebr 16169 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 If you tell it to, yes. It is possible to back up user data and then restore that data into the target system (even into different users).
Steverido 6 Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 Hi ebr, is there a wiki to explain this? I have found the wiki but could not see an explanation of how to do it.
ebr 16169 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 No but it really should be self-explanatory from the config page. You just check off to backup users and user data and then, on the restore, you just assign the user data to the proper users.

hansolo77 11 Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 (edited) How does one RESTORE after using this plugin to do a backup? EDIT - Nevermind. I never actually configured the plugin, lol. Looks like it will display it once You've made a backup. Edited August 11, 2015 by hansolo77

Make sure you are pointing it to the parent directory of the backup folders, not one of the backups itself.
vick1982 15 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I am pointing it to the directory which has 5 backup folders in it for the last 5 days. Using latest stable server and plugin
vick1982 15 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Hi. Version 10 just released has fixed the problem. So i think it was problem with version 9 and below with the latest emby version Thanks for updating the plugin
