speechles 2055 Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 @@mediacowboy I've solved the issue now. w00t. Damn that one was a major pain-in-the-ass to debug to find. It was caused by using the "remember user" feature and changing this to NO. The routine in preferences was using a main logout, which removes the server token, not just using a user logout. I spent hours chasing this down and solved the shit out if it YAAY!!! There is no need to factory restore your roku. There will be a new setting in user login. Along with all your choices and such will be an option at the end. This will be called "Clear Registry". When you get into situations where the app is not letting you in, and you are stuck at the login screen you would use this. It forces the app to wipe the entire registry (all settings stored) and restarts at the server selection screen. This seems to clear it up for me. Also solved the issue of capabilities not posting. Now all instances of this app run off the "Roku BN" name and should not be confused with any other app. Will have a new version shortly, in the next hour or so... stay tuned... 3

So won't be adding a way to clear registry, it won't be required. But.. Once you are in that condition, where it won't let you in and over and over says invalid password... https://my.roku.com/add/BlueNeon389 Use this app, and log in.. This is version3.89 of the app. Once you run this and login, it will fix whatever the issue is... I will have a new vesion 4.06 that no longer makes it possible to ever get the app into that condition. First though, want to make sure you can login with v3.89 app. Let me know

This would produce an unrecoverable scenario where you can never match the device again with that client/app. Invalid/username ever after. The 3.98 version of the app loaded will fix this, and let the newer version with blue neon icon work again. It should not be possible to put the app in this broken condition anymore ever again.On an items detail screen when you navigate left and right, the theme music will now change to represent the present item onscreen. If multiple items of the same series appear the music wont change as it is the same series. Otherwise all detail screen changes will change theme music. IF you use theme music this should make it much better to browse.Added a new "stop theme music" preference. What this does is control if theme music can stop other music playing or not, and whether theme music stops when you back out of a screen that is playing theme music. The default for this is NO. This will stop your music tracks you may be playing in the background when you browse, and play the theme music. When the play theme music setting is enabled it will, unless you change stop theme music to YES. Just making that part clear. Apologies for the capabilities, invalid user/pass bullshit. That was my missing a step earlier in coding the app that affected later work down the road. Inevitable as that is bound to happen time to time with changes.If those with issues can please test this out and approve or disapprove it will let me know if it is good enough to leave alone. Ta. https://my.roku.com/add/BlueNeon389 Install this app. This is the version masquerades as the original app. Log in on this one. Once you do, press the home button, and launch the present version of the app and it will work. It was how I was logging out users who changed the "remember me" setting to NO. Once you do run the other app, it is impossible to get the app into this invalid state again. You can then safely use the new app again and all is well. Edited February 4, 2017 by speechles

That is where the other link redirects me. It should make you log into roku.com and then forward you to the apps page.

You must be from the UK.. I see why.. It was at the bottom of the page and I forgot to check that region for availability. Fixed that, UK is allowed to download it. Now it should work. Sorries... lol

It is now enabled for the entire world for the v3.89 app. It might take time for the cache on roku's channel store to refresh the store front with updated things. @@mediacowboy does the v4.06 app work for you properly? I am now able to use the app again but still seeing failed to post capabilities and still having the logging in issue after logging out of a user and trying to log back in where it says invalid user and password. To get the app to work again I have to launch 3.89 log in with the user I want and then switch back to be logged in as the new user. Should I reset my roku and see if that helps?
