MATEROXXX 0 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Hi everybody. I just installed and configured on my server PC my Emby server and everything and it works fine. On my other computer in the same network in the house, I have the latest kodi installed, and It is setup to play every mkv and avi file into mediaplayer classic installed on the same pc. Any video I open in kodi automatically opens in MPC-HC no problem. All the videos I'm talking about are on the other machine, and if I just add the folders manually to kodi, it works. Now what I want to do is make it open all the videos in the library that I have trough the emby plugin. The emby plugin works fine now but all the videos open into the internal kodi player and I Don't like it. I wpould like it to open in MPC-HC. How do I do that? Also I want to make sure that the file opening is the real file without any transcoding, since is on the same network and it's fast enough I don't need it. Please help. Thank you
xnappo 1611 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 See here: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=209596 You can look the dashboard on the server to make sure are not streaming/transcoding. If you have your network config correct it will not be. Make sure you play with the advanced setting in the Kodi player though, IMHO it is not worth the trouble to use MPC-HC. 1
Angelblue05 4132 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 if it's using SMB, do not enter your network credentials in the add-on. I don't think external players will be able to find the file, because we include them in the path. 1
marcelveldt 736 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 If you choose the option direct paths in the addon settings it should work as you desire. Keep in mind to do a database reset after changing that setting...
