Can't configure server - getting black screen on configure page

please help - i am getting strange error - server installs ok but when I try to configure emby I get

a black screen in Microsoft edge and Internet explorer. cannot figure out the problem

can you try reinstalling on top of your current installation?

Tried reinstalling several times. Browsers give http400 and 404 errors.started happening a couple of days ago when I would start server but only occurred occasionally. Now this is all I get. Tried all browsers . Wondering is it malware?

Maybe. Something is abnormally screwed up that is for sure. We've seen cases where malware has messed with the hosts file which and redirects those requests elsewhere, causing failures.

So any solutions? Do the logs give any indication ? Have checked for malware and got a negative.

Have you tried entering the LAN IP of your computer instead of localhost? Or 127.0.0.1 ?

didnt work - im getting alot of redirection to strange websites but no idea how to solve the problem - disaster!!!

If you have redirections to strange websites then it definitely sounds like you have some sort of malware

 

Could be something changing the hosts file, Proxy/DNS hijack or some sort of BHO.

 

If the scanner you used didn't find any malware you should try another one. Perhaps Malware Bytes.

Yeah, try malware bytes.  That one usually finds these browser hijacking things.
