URL Redirect/Frame

Wondering if anyone can help or has similar issues.

 

i use a dynamic DNS service because I dont have a static external IP. so for example my DDNS is

 

mydomain.no-ip.info

 

if i put mydomain.no-ip.info:8096 into the address bar i get presented with my emby server. great!

 

however i also have my own domain name. My register allows my to use their DNS to redirect subdomains etc. so for example i use nzb.mydomain.co.uk and sonarr.mydomain.co.uk which are redirected to the no-ip.info ddns. works great.

 

however when i redirect emby.mydomain.co.uk to mydomain.no-ip.info:8096 i get a blank page, nothing. 

 

any ideas?

I am no expert, but my understanding is that DNS is not capable of HTTP redirection pointing to a specific port. Have a look into HTTP redirection. thanks for the help will take a look.

 

strangely i can http redirect to other programs using ports such as sonarr mydomain.no-ip.info:8989 and nzbget mydomain.no-ip.info:6789
