monkeyman 0 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I can't seem to make Emby display subtitles. I have a movie folder with a couple episodes of some TV-show. Both have external subtitles with the same names placed in the same folder. Twonky plays both files properly and displays subtitles. Emby completely ignores them. I looked into Wiki, created custom profile for DLNA with subtitle profile for "srt" container, but nothing changed. There's a lack of information on how to setup DLNA profiles and wiki doesn't even contain a single word about it (coming soon). Searching forums also didn't help. Can anybody help me with this? My Emby version is 3.0.5675.1 and I'm trying to watch stuff on Philips TV.
Luke 42081 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 Yea the dlna setup is something we need to document, and make easier. in the meantime, take a look at the panasonic viera profile. it has a flag set for srt subs, so you'll want to do the same thing. if you or someone can get a functional philips profile going then we can embed it into the server. additionally, if you have a twonky philips profile, i can try to convert it, although i don't have a device to test with.
monkeyman 0 Posted July 27, 2015 Author Posted July 27, 2015 I have the same subtitle profile: srt, external download, res element. Still nothing. It looks like my custom profile is not loading at all. I've changed Friendly Name in Server Settings, but it keeps showing Emby in media server browser on my TV. Looked everywhere, but don't see any option to select custom profile, so I assume it's loaded automatically, right? Then why server name is still Emby? Will logs help? I can attach them, if needed.
