DeepPrplRox 1 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I am using Media Browser on my Roku. Things work very well. There is one small problem regarding instances of servers on my hosting PC. When starting MB client on the Roku, it asks me which (of two) server I want to connect to. For purpose of this note, the server instances are called "Dad" and "Steve". Somehow, I've created two instances on my PC. The client on the Roku gives me the option to remove either of the servers but when I select that option, they are not removed. Can I delete one of the instances on the server (PC) side or do I need to uninstall / re-install the MB server? 1

I don't know how to disable/remove individual server instances. My confusion is that I completely uninstalled MB3 server on my HTPC and re-installed it. I presumed that that would "clear the deck" and re-create just one server instance. I also uninstalled and re-installed the Roku MB3 application. Still it shows the two servers. This isn't a serious problem. It appears that I can choose either - which makes sense I guess if they are both using the same libraries. Edited February 28, 2015 by DeepPrplRox

Ok, the next update to the app will have some better duplicate checking. what you might want to do for now is delete both servers then start over. if you find youv'e still got two showing up then there's something odd going on

Jasoon 9 Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Im having a similar issue ,with two servers appearing on Roku players, Android and MBT It seemed to start when i tried to un-install MBS and it didnt uninstall correctly, one thing i did notice that i now have a system.old folder.... It also dosnt matter which server i use i get the same profiles (one extra added when in installed Emby), ive also changed the server name and it now displays one server with the new name and one with the PC's name
Guest ronmoses Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 I'm a little late to the thread, but I figured I'd throw my +1 in here. Sure would be nice to get rid of that identical 2nd server that's been around since I uninstalled MB Server and installed Emby Server clean.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 This is weird I have one server when I link a user to emby account the server only appear once and when I unlink the server it disappear. But I have another server that one instance is there with no accounts linked and adds another instance when I link a user to emby account. So is there a local file that can be checked or deleted?

I still have the first two servers showing up in the Connect login screen and cannot get them to go away, despite those computers being gone.

Did some more testing on this, added a user on test server, was able to accept invitation but have to manually refresh page to get to move to select server. If invitation is accepted via email everything is good when you login. Servers that are linked to an user account can't be deleted. Unlink account and the server remains but is deletable. Still have one old server that is undeletable and has access to new named server with no linked accounts.

I have tried to delete the duplicae servers, but I am still stuck with 4. Sometimes when I delete and refresh, another server appears instead. How do I get rid of these?? Thanks. well it was a new install and I only had one log file but I will try again. I don't understand your request about the server in debug logging. How in the world am I to tell which one that is from the server page?
