Hi.

I use an AFTV with Kodi 15 and the emby for kodi addon. So fine so good.

But now I would like to choose the Emby profile with the start of Kodi. Is this possible? I couldnt find a setting for this.

Sure, simply go in Settings > Profiles > Check login screen. This will disable auto-login when you start Kodi.

I already tried this. But this profil settings are only for the local Kodi installation.

But my library is on the emby server. I would like to have a login screen with the profiles of emby.

I am confused by what you are looking for.

You have to create a kodi profile for each emby user you want to have on Kodi. Then using the login screen you pick the Kodi-emby profile you want to use when starting kodi.

Is this what you are inquiring about? :) you can't switch users in the same Kodi profile. The add-on does not work this way.

Edit: did you mean always start Kodi with a specific profile?

Ok. I try to explain  :D

I have a dedicated emby server. And I have a Kodi client (AFTV with Kodi 15.0). On the emby server I have two users: "Sylvio" and "Ben" (my son). Now when I use Kodi on the client I would like to have an option to choose which emby profile (Sylvio or Ben) I would like to use.

You also have to create the profile on Kodi and just use the same name. You can then link it to your emby server profile.

I now created a new profile named Ben. But how do I link it to the emby server profile?

When logged into bens kodi profile configure the emby for kodi addon to login with bens emby server account

Thank you very much. It works now

I always thought if I configure the emby addon I have to use the windows username in the field "username". Instead I had to use the emby server name.  :D
