Using of tracking by fonts.googleapis.com called by Web Client

I use Privacy Badger ( https://www.eff.org/privacybadger ) and it is reporting since the most recent server update that the webclient is contacting fonts.googleapis.com which tracks. If I block it as recommended then the webclient just displays a black page.  Is this use of fonts.googleapis.com a deliberate change?

Are you by chance using any custom css?

Couldn't find the post but I know one of the custom css changes I copied from the forum had this.

@import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Limelight);
@import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oxygen);

Similar talked about here.

Download the fonts and reference them off your local drive.

I'm not using any custom CSS at this time as I haven't gotten that far in the customization process.

How would I tell the default interface to use a local font?  Is there a way or do I need to proceed down the custom CSS route to achieve this?

At the moment you would need to use the custom CSS to do it.
