LASooner 24 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Because I am getting a ton of abandoned magick- files in my temp directory and it's causing my C: drive to fill up I found this topic related to the subject http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?t=15960 And since I don't do much else on my WHS, I figured it was Emby Server doing image conversion. Here's a sample of my temp directory
Happy2Play 9783 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 Interesting neither of my WHS 2011 systems have this issue.
Raff 51 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I don't have any files like the ones you listed in my Temp directory, or anywhere on my server. I did find the ImageMagick for C# libraries in my workspace where I checked out Emby, so it does use it. Not sure why yours would create or leave behind those files when mine doesn't (Win7).
LASooner 24 Posted July 25, 2015 Author Posted July 25, 2015 Well if I'm reading the message thread about it correctly, it's based on the images being processed, if the process fails or times out, it doesn't clean up the working files in the temp directory, I don't think it has as much to do with it being WHS 2011 as just an oversight in cleaning up.I also found this thread, on here, I may try to get rid of my photos library from Emby as well, but that won't make the wifey all that happy http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/22045-weird-temp-activity/?hl=magick
plazma 13 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 (edited) If you want I can throw you a batch or vbs script you could run once a day/hour to delete em once they hit x age. Edited July 25, 2015 by plazma
Happy2Play 9783 Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 What server version are you on?I just added 46GB (13,000+) photos and completed a library scan and no temp files were left at that location (username\local\temp\) Version 3.0.5675.1
