Tv shows and video backdrops

I was testing active backdrops for my tv shows when I noticed that only the tv shows with more than 1 seasons will play the active backdrop.  So I added a season 2 folder to all my tv series that only had 1 season, then presto...they all played! Is this normal?

 

This is an example of my folder structure: \\server\tv shows\band of brothers\season 1

                                                                                                                         \season 2

                                                                                                                         \backdrops

                                                                                                                               videobackdrop.mp4

 

I know that band of brothers only had 1 season but adding season 2 allowed the video backdrop to play.
